“Kid, WHAT COULD BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN-?”
“Someone I know is really sick, Pigsy. I can’t leave him alone. I’m not sure how much longer they have, and they’re refusing what can help them.”
The demon on the other side went silent, MK could hear the cogs in his brain working, trying to piece together information.
“Will he be okay?”
MK’s throat tightened, the burning of tears welled up in his eyes and he croaked out a “I don’t know.” He held onto the dirty cloak covering his mentor. “I’m going to help.”
