It’s in the late afternoon on a Sunday that he sees a flickering light of hope. More accurately, he hears it. He’s emerging from Ayato’s room for a glass of water when a voice reaches him. At first he is certain it’s in his head. He’s grown so lonely and so afraid that he’s begun imagining the voice of his love to keep him company. But no, the voice isn’t speaking to him…but Ayato.
“Unless you want me to call forth the guards, I recommend you remove yourself from the estate.” Ayato says.
“Not until you let me see him.”
