Summary
Several months after Qliphot's collapse the devil hunter's help was needed in cleaning up the remaining demons in Red Grave City. Dante and Vergil worked together under Devil May Cry's shop's name but they had to split in order to get rid of demons present in many distant places. Vergil found himself fighting a group of Angelo demons and its leader Proto Angelo, which was acting differently than expected. As much as Vergil thought he had everything under control regarding his past issues this time he found out it was still a bleeding wound existing in his mind.

Summary
Vergil dreams of his life as if it was unaffected by his mother's horrific death in demon invasion. Eva is well and alive but also accordingly to the time passing she is an older woman with visible, inevitable ageing process. He also meets Dante, whose profession deviates from what he is known for in real life. Despite the difference Lady is still a person, who accompanies him in his tasks. None of the people seemed bothered by the dangers of demons preying - since such creatures existed only in the mythology books.
It seems to be an utopian picture of what Vergil's life could have been without the unfortunate, life changing incident, when he was only 8 just like his twin brother.But is it really as good as it seems to be?
Perhaps gaining full consciousness during a dream makes quite a difference...

Summary
When both Dante and Vergil escape hell - the legendary devil hunter comes back to his old duties, while his nephew recruittes his own father to work along with him. Perhaps to only keep an eye on him. In this new reality the freshly recruited devil hunter faces challenges of getting along with his own family members, working on his fatherhood and then dealing with profession related problems to solve. Does Vergil work towards fixing his past crimes or decide to ignore them?
