Summary
“Joonghyuk-ah,” he whispers. “It’s time for me to go. You’ve gotten all you wanted, haven’t you?”
It couldn’t be better than this. His family entirely intact, his female lead right beside him, his entire party unharmed. Completely opposite of the novel itself—where the author had forgone reason to induce unnecessary tragedy on Yoo Joonghyuk, leaving him standing alone. Wasn’t this the picture-perfect ending, one that all protagonists would desire?
“No.”
The response is immediate. A hand latches itself right onto Kim Dokja’s wrist, preventing him from moving.
“You,” Yoo Joonghyuk chokes, his expression strangely hurt, “can’t go. You can’t, Kim Dokja.”
Having isekai’d as the villain in a shitty story, Kim Dokja has no choice but to overturn his fate. In a strange series of events, he ends up accompanying the protagonist on his journey, but when he tries to part ways from the protagonist, Yoo Joonghyuk, he faces more than he’s willing to accept.

Kim Dokja slaps his hands over Yoo Joonghyuk’s mouth without really thinking.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he says frantically.
He feels Yoo Joonghyuk’s lips curve into a frown under his palm, ticklish and hot against that sensitive skin. He ekes out an odd sound and jerks back, yelping again when the back of his head collides with the wall.
Yoo Joonghyuk’s expression turns more bewildered than reprimanding. “What is with you?”
The Fourth Wall comes down. Kim Dokja realizes he’s been relying on it more than he thought.

As the king, Kim Dokja couldn’t spare an effort to chase the tail end of his disappearing feelings. As a king, Kim Dokja knew his rule took precedence over an unattainable love story with his loyal knight—the most competent military general that has ever been seen within the history of their kingdom.
So… this entire situation feels like nothing more than a dream.
Had it started from an offhand statement? Or had Yoo Joonghyuk simply known his cycle was coming?
Either way, such frivolities couldn’t be considered right now. Yoo Joonghyuk is fingering him open on Kim Dokja’s bed, his own mouth gaping wide in a shape unsightly, his fingers digging into the flesh of Yoo Joonghyuk’s wrist, trying to get him to pull out—or trying to pull him in further, he doesn’t know. Three fingers spread him wide open, clinging to his walls, scratching at that one spot inside of Kim Dokja that makes him clench, his entire body wracking in minute shivers that echo from head to toe.
Kim Dokja doesn’t believe his general could ever reciprocate his feelings. Yoo Joonghyuk proves him wrong.
