Markos is a young man with big dreams and even bigger shoes to fill. Between his mother Anna and her determination to see Ithaca stand together as one, the words of his father and his philosophy, and the weight of his own birth, he finds himself trudging forward whilst battling with these expectations and his own. He thinks Theodoros is an ass.
Theo is a young man who's grown up bitter. As the middle child who's quickly found himself one of the eldest after so many men left for war, he's struggling to see his own worth. While desperate for approval from others, he tries everything he can to fit in, even if that means acting in ways he doesn't like or ignoring his own dreams for the sake of appearance and expectations. He thinks Markos is a hypocrite.
They hate each other.
