    "Where's Alhaitham?" Cyno asked.
    “Bimarstan.”
    “Alhaitham's in Bimarstan and you’re here…eating?”
    “I’m hungry.”
Cyno stared back at him, flabbergasted. “You’re eating very well,” he noted.
“The food is good,” Alhaitham said, taking another bite of chicken.

After an accident at the Akademiya, Alhaitham wakes up to find himself in Kaveh's body, with Kaveh also in Kaveh's body. It causes a lot of confusion and chaos.

    Summary

Being immortal is the opposite of simplicity when it's all Alhaitham really wants, but he tries to get by. He keeps his nose out of people's business the best he can, sticks to the people he's friends with, and attempts to dodge the mortal's notice. It all goes fine—or well, it all goes fine until Candace has the mortals of her people build him a temple, that is.

“You think Candace set this up just because this mortal told you so?”

“Well, it sounds like something she would do,” he mutters.

“Maybe,” Dehya agrees, though her eyes glimmer with something knowing, something devious. “If she thinks it’s what’s best for you, or maybe even just as a present. What does it even matter? It seems it worked out in your favor.”

Alhaitham pauses, narrowing his eyes in sudden distrust. “In my favor?”

Her grin is now most definitely a smirk, but Dehya continues as if there’s no ill intent behind it. “Did you not fall in love with that mortal at first sight?”

    Summary

Being proposed to for "tax benefits" was never the way Kaveh saw it going.

Alhaitham hums idly in response. He takes another sip of the wine, swirling it around in the cup. “I wasn’t aware asking someone for their hand in marriage wasn’t sentimental.”

“It would be if you weren’t so blunt about it!” Kaveh can’t help but raise his voice. His feelings bubble to the surface, making his heart throb uncomfortably in his chest, and Gods. He hates being this upset over something so… trivial.

But it isn’t trivial, is it? Kaveh has always wanted to get married; he’s thought about what it would be like since he was a young boy, though he never pictured himself with someone like Alhaitham. Perhaps this is the exact reason why. He’d wanted a grand proposal, something special, something they’d always remember, something that… something that wasn’t just an average evening.

    Summary

    "Senior Kaveh! You're early today."
"Of course, I was the one who asked to meet, how could I be late?" Kaveh said, a smile automatically forming on his own face.
"I don't know, perhaps you got distracted by another fraudster, asking 'Oh Lord Kaveh, will you build me a house'?"
"It was that one time," Kaveh said, his cheeks burning slightly. "You just happened to find me at a bad moment."
"Certainly, certainly," the scholar said, mirth in his eyes, “How could anyone possibly fool the great Light of Kshahrewar?”

There's a visiting scholar following Kaveh around, all smiles and sunshine, and Kaveh finds himself torn between his lingering unrequited feelings for a certain someone and this bold newcomer.

But Kaveh starts to realise something strange- Alhaitham never appears at the same time as the other guy.

    Summary

“It was nighttime, and we were looking out on Ay-Khanoum. We were flirting a little bit too. You told me you loved me. I told you I already knew. And then I asked you… 'If I loved you back, what would we do?’”

    “And what did I say?”

“You said, ‘If it were true, I would want to watch the stars from the highest point of Ay-Khanoum with you. I would want to admire this city we built together, holding your hand in mine. I would want to talk with you, and drink with you—and fall into your arms at the end of the day… fall asleep with you.’”

(Through sheer coincidence, Alhaitham and Kaveh regain the memories of their previous samsara.)
