“Nobody said you have to stay,” Barnes says, sensing Sam’s self-questioning. They glare at each other.
“Why’d you even bring me here?” Because that question had been buzzing around his head since arriving.
Barnes tilts his head, stares as though the answer should be obvious. He speaks when Sam remains quiet. “You wanna know where I’m staying. Here it is. I saved you the trouble of stalking me.”
“I do not stalk you.” Sam rolls his eyes. But actually, thinking about it, maybe his actions were just a bit stalkery. Completely by accident.
Sam Wilson was looking for the Winter Soldier. He did not expect the Winter Soldier to find him. Over, and over.

Master Merlin had given him the mission centuries ago, however was not very clear in what to do. All Douxie knew for certain was that he was to wait for his Master to call on him. If he was going to do that, obviously it would be for the apprentice's help in stopping something. Perhaps that something was whatever this glowing being was, and whoever, or whatever, they were talking to.
[I forgot what this was even about and don't know how to continue it. Let's just say it's a story concept! Or something...]
