When Vander woke he was already sitting up in bed, short of breath and drenched with sweat. Every muscle in his body seemed to ache with how tense he was. His heart was racing in his chest and it took more than a few moments for the almost animalistic panic to recede into something more mangeable. With each uneven breath the unfamiliar shadows shifted until he could finally make sense of his surroundings enough to realize where he was.
He was in his bed in The Last Drop.
