Link looked down at the slate. For a moment, she thought, her heart skipping in her chest— that he didn’t.
But then he looked up, determined. “What do you need from me, Princess?”
She swung the bag over her shoulder, a smile forming on her face. “Let’s go get you that sword.”

Link, just days after waking up on the Great Plateau, wanders into the castle wearing little more than tattered trousers and a threadbare shirt, carrying rusty swords and little else— and defeats Ganon, as he should have a hundred years ago.
But he remembers nothing. Not Zelda. And not the child she’s carrying inside her.

"You're home, now," Link said, brushing tears from his eyes. How he’d missed hearing Zelda's soft voice; there’d been moments during his journey where he’d feared he’d forget its sound.
Link’s gaze fell to Zelda’s lips. He couldn’t stop himself from leaning in for a kiss—but Zelda shied away before he could.
Now, Zelda’s expression turned to one of pure confusion. She turned away from Link and hugged her knees up to her chest.
“I-I’m sorry,” Zelda began, her voice hoarse. “I don’t mean to be rude, but I must ask… who are you?"

I’ll even write the ransom note for you, if you can’t write,” she said, snipping at them.
Hoz opened his mouth in protest, but Link just snorted. “Yes, Your Highness.”
“I’m not a princess,” Zelda said, crossly, looking over the charts. “I’m just a woman.” And I want to go home.
