Summary
Anything is possible when magic is involved. When the Miracle was born into the Madrigal family, multiple possibilities spread out before them and entire worlds sprang from them. Countless ways the story could have gone.
Not every story was a happy one.
There was a world where the magic corrupted and twisted everyone it touched into something cruel and they tormented the village they ruled over.
But this isn't the story of that family. No, this is the story of what happens after that family is dethroned and the desperate villagers are given a chance to keep their Encanto while the magic dies with the last Madrigal.
A choice.

Summary
Mirabel dreamt that Casita had fallen and the candle had died in her hands. She was no longer sure if that was a dream or reality.
But she woke up in a house that wasn't the Casita.
She lived in a settlement but it wasn't the Encanto.
The Madrigals were still celebrated, but not revered. Their gifts were gone.
None of them claimed to remember anything but Mirabel knew the adults were only telling half-truths. Sometimes, Mirabel thought some of them even remembered their past life.
Their names and faces were the same, but Mirabel barely recognized them.
