“Last time I saw him I… he used me. He was scared I think, and I said some things I didn’t mean, no matter how much he deserved it. He probably wants me dead, after all that happened.”
“So you’re going to slight him further by refusing his invitation?” She asked.
“Not necessarily…” Jaskier gave the letter another once over, it would be a terrible idea to go but... “Frankly I need the coin and he’s offering double my usual rate.” He didn’t add that he couldn’t help but wonder what had happened to Radovid, whether he’d even been remembered after all this time.
