    "Moonjo…" he says when he finally meets his eyes. "What would you do if… if you were dating someone?"

    Moonjo watches him for a few seconds before planting a sharp kiss on his neck. The hair on Jongwoo’s arms stands on end.

    "I think you should already know."

    Before Jongwoo can process it and respond, Moonjo adds:

    "There would just be one extra thing I would do."

    Jongwoo bites the inside of his cheek, curious.

    "What?"

    Moonjo’s dark eyes drop from Jongwoo’s and settle on his mouth. Jongwoo feels the hand leave his waist and watches it rise toward his face. Moonjo extends his thumb and lightly presses it against Jongwoo’s lower lip before looking back up at him.

    "I would kiss right here."

    They are in the middle of Moonjo’s nightly ritual of affection. A sharp curiosity pricks at Jongwoo: How would Moonjo act if he were dating?

    God is a construct. Not an old man in the sky, but an idea, one strong enough to be backed by an ever-supportive hoard of the lost souls hopeless enough to call Him "Father." Our "creator" is a figure meant to be adored. Our "creator" is a figure meant to be feared. Our "creator" is a lie made by humanity to offset the dread of our nothingness.

    As a pastor, you have lived your entire life aware of the pure, God-fearing person you were meant to be. To grow up on your knees, worshipping a God that had long grown cold, praying for salvation until the day you inevitably succumbed to your fate. You would die old, unloved, untouched, and beautiful only in the eyes of the God that had abandoned you, the God that didn't exist.

    You had always been steadfast in your disbelief—and you really, truly didn't believe in Him... not until the day the embodiment of sin walked into your church, blasphemy tainting his cold, dark eyes. Through the gates of Eden, and in him, you finally found something worth worshipping.
