Zeldris tried not to let out a sob, his brother was casually looking at him as though nothing was wrong because of course, he did. Meliodas carefully raised both of his arms and pulled Zeldris into them. This time Zeldris really did start crying, horribly, betraying tears that ran down his face. He hides his face in his brother's shoulders, hides the tears, hides the fear that he had. He tries to act like he's not crying at all and just begrudgingly hugging his older brother.

I wanted to know what happened before Mel shifted sides in the Holy War, and how he met Ellie. And since there is nothing I know of that will answer this for me, I filled up the blank spaces.
I guess this could be a rewrite of the earliest moments of the series, 3000 years before the events in Liones, going through everything I think the characters feel and think during this time, and how their characters develop.

Or, Meliodas was "tricked" by Goddess Elizabeth during the First war. Locked away for millennia, he manages to escape after the newly formed Deadly Sins free him. From there, he must learn to navigate this new world. Forced to deal with and decipher emotions, get over his daddy issues, confront his survivor's guilt, and deal with his trauma. And, for some reason, the king's daughter looks oddly familiar.

Acknowledging his lack of strength to face the Ten Commandments, Meliodas vigorously trains with the Druids of Istar to regain his sealed powers back. Eventually, Meliodas asks Jenna the druid to restore his power. She summons her staff and a massive Goddess Amber appears. Meliodas's power is inside. She breaks the amber and releases his power. She directs it back into his body and he is swallowed by demonic power.
Despite putting on a normal act, Elizabeth begins to notice that Meliodas might not be taking this transition as well as it appears.
