Check and Mate from Nolan Sawyer's POV. All characters and storyline belong to Ali Hazelwood. I recommend reading the book prior to this as it's a companion work, not a standalone. It's my first fic, so enjoy!

Summary
"Love's a game. Checkmate." aka "Check & Mate" by Ali Hazelwood told in Nolans perspective. How did our beloved chess genius feel when his heart was being formed new by upcoming chess star Mallory? How did the story develop for him, what did we miss?
I am just a sucker for reading books in the perspective of the people that are not usually telling the story; Red, white and royal blue from Henry's POV, A good girls guide to murder in Ravi's perspective, so I thought: 'hey, why not try it myself?' and of course it had to be my current obsession "Check and mate"
I will follow the original story line, but obviously I have to think of some new scenes because the original book is not told from his perspective and there would be some major plotholes otherwise.
But dw, everything gets explained in the according chapter notes :)) -
