Summary
She’d seen the degradation of watching a man fight for his life, the insatiable greed of those in the audience cheering it on. Women of high culture and class, women like the row that Galadriel finds herself in, are supposed to be above such carnage, weaned away from violence at a tender age in deference to their omega sensibilities.
But the man across the cage from her, a man that stands alone, studying her under a hood of soiled bangs, an unkempt mess of auburn hair rendered nearly black under all the grime. He’s covered in absolute filth, an iron collar around his neck linking him to a chained post nearby. He’s — tall, perhaps taller than any of the other alphas there. Built deceptively strong and unassumingly dressed in a dark blue linen shirt that looks like it’s seen better days. Torn and threadbare at the edges, he looks squalid, like he hasn’t seen a bath in weeks. He should be the farthest thing to draw her attention or attraction.
But his eyes hold hers without flinching when he stares at her, and Galadriel can't look away.

A rising dawn looks the same as a creeping sunset from a certain angle, but it has been ages and ages since he’s been in any position to know. He likes to take his time with his victims, likes to keep them satiated and blissed out on his bite, euphoric and as clueless as Bambi’s mother before a shotgun barrel. It's a little well-known fact that a vampire’s bite makes people feel pure ecstasy. Makes the victims go down smooth, makes their last breaths a land of paradise, their blood tasting less of bitter adrenaline and rancid fear. An unfair mutual exchange, perhaps, a life-shattering orgasm for a life-ending bite.

Summary
She catches up to him at the stony entrance to the tidal pools and deja vu thrums through her as he begins to pull off his shirt.
“What are you doing?” it comes out accusatory.
“Bathing.” he replies, and starts on his pants.
She spins to turn away from his rapidly revealing flesh. The sound of clothing falling at his feet is almost indecent.
