    Summary

Shen Jiu pulled back, expression guarded as he stared down at him. “Who would you rather be with right now, them or me?”

Suddenly, it all clicked, and Shen Yuan softened. So that was what this was about; Shen Jiu was just in one of his possessive moods. He got like that sometimes—demanding reassurance from Shen Yuan, as if Shen Yuan would ever want to be apart again. It was cute, and Shen Yuan was always more than happy to oblige. Shen Jiu wasn’t the only one still recovering from their years of separation, after all. Perhaps this time he’d gotten it in his head that Shen Yuan would fall in love with someone and leave him alone. Well, that would never happen.

    He smiled. “You, of course.”

Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu are twins who were separated by tragedy years ago. Now that they’ve been reunited, nothing will ever separate them again. After all, how could they take each other for granted after so much time apart? That’s just brotherly love.

    Right?

    Summary

It wasn’t required to become cultivation partners with one’s soulmate, but it was strongly encouraged, to the point where it may as well have been a requirement. Though he was long past the age where one would show up, Shen Jiu still occasionally woke up and checked over his skin in a way that had once been routine. If one of those cursed marks were to suddenly appear, he would definitely cut it out rather than risk being encouraged to dual cultivate with some stranger just because they shared marks. Even worse if it was a man.

    But still, none appeared.

Shen Jiu doesn’t have a soulmark.

    Neither does Yue Qingyuan.

    This is a good thing.

    Summary

Shen Yuan’s smugness lasted up until Shen Qingqiu whisked him off to the Bamboo House, where Shen Yuan was meant to brew and serve his shizun his first pot of tea as official head disciple. Shen Qingqiu didn’t dump it on his head, thankfully, but he did give Shen Yuan a rather unnerving warning:

“If you have the nerve to present qianyuan in the future, this master will make sure you regret it for the rest of your life.”

Yikes! What the hell was someone supposed to say to that? Got it, I’ll make sure to control this completely uncontrollable fact of nature? Talk about unfair!

Shen Yuan transmigrates into a cannon-fodder NPC in an omegaverse version of PIDW. He tries his best to make the most of it—with a few stumbling blocks along the way.

Look, he doesn’t need to know all the ins and outs of omegaverse customs, right?

    Summary

Yue Qingyuan spotted him and smiled widely—which was already startling enough—and hurriedly made his way over to him. Mindful of the fact that they were in front of his disciples, Shen Qingqiu gave a respectful salute. “Zhangmen—”

    “Xiao-Jiu, will you marry me?”

    The entire field fell silent.

YQY has been drugged with something nefarious! He keeps saying all kinds of nonsense that he surely doesn’t actually mean, like complimenting SQQ and saying he wants to be near him and asking to…marry him…

Well. What’s SQQ supposed to do? Not take advantage while YQY is in such an exploitable state? It’s not like it’s real, anyway; once YQY recovers, he’ll surely take it all back.

    Summary

A violent rustling of leaves gave Shen Qingqiu pause, and he turned just in time to see a small figure burst out of the underbrush nearby, tripping and tumbling to the ground before quickly picking itself back up. The child, covered in scuffs and leaves, turned to face him, and Shen Qingqiu froze.

For a moment, he feared he was hallucinating a ghost from his past.

The child— Qi-ge— Yue Qi stared right back at him, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. The two stood in mutual shock for the span of a few heartbeats, and then Yue Qi’s face twisted with fury. Having never seen such an expression on any iteration of Yue Qingyuan’s face, Shen Qingqiu was too stunned to do anything but stand there as the child barreled towards him.

Pain bloomed from his forearm where Yue Qi bit down, serving as proof that this truly wasn’t a hallucination or dream.

Due to causes unknown, Yue Qingyuan ends up de-aging into his child self. Everyone is shocked by how the esteemed sect leader acts as a child, but what’s more shocking is how Shen Qingqiu treats him.
