"In my folly, I wish to fight him. I wish to race him, as men, around the track at Opus; see how his feet fly like Hermes. I wish to see the terrible thunder of his eyes before mine, the snarl of his lips, the beat of a vein at his throat, and conquer."

Summary
The war is at a stalemate, and Achilles has spent the last month obsessing over campaign planning. He has also spent the last month ignoring Patroclus. Patroclus is confused, upset, and determined to figure out what's going on. Not least because he's horny as shit.

Summary
“I want you to sing to me while you play my mother’s lyre.”
He looks almost confused but he will not refuse me. One time only he refused me, and it almost costed him everything. He doesn’t know that it still will.
“Alright, but afterwards you will drink and eat. You need your strength back. You have lost too much blood.” And even as he says it, he cowers from the truth of it, from how close he was to losing me. His relief that he hasn’t.
“I will. Now come, sit here in our bed, I will lay my head in your lap, like we did when we were boys remember?”
“Yes” he says longingly, a small smile painting his lovely features and right now he looks so much like that boy it almost brings me to tears again.
Or a reimagining of the scene of Patroclus's death. Instead of dying on the battlefield, Patroclus lives long enough to be returned to Achilles. But while he knows that he will not survive, he has convinced Achilles that he will. His final wish: to let his lover's voice guide him to the Underworld. This is a two-part story. The first chapter will depict the events from the battlefield up until Patroclus's last breath, and the second chapter Achille's reaction to his lover's unexpected death.

Summary
“I’m so sorry” he said in between cries. It is alright, I do not blame you.
“Please forgive me” There is nothing to forgive my love.
His head was bowed towards the body as he spoke, unaware of another soul touching him, caressing him, talking to him fervently, mourning with him once again. I love you, I forgive you, stop this please!
“I’m so sorry.” He cried and cried until it didn’t resemble words anymore, but it was simply a sound that kept repeating itself, like a hero doomed to relive his own tragic demise again and again as if for the very first time.
Achilles lost in his grief after the death of Patroclus decides to take his own life but a certain shade sees his grief, his pain and his attempt and alerts his mother. She appears to stop him just in time.
The second chapter is from Patroclus's point of view as he watches his lover suffer under the weight of his pain and guilt and his fear when he realises what he wants to do.Series
