Patroclus could hardly contain the sigh that left his lips when seeing the new email in his inbox. He felt his glasses push up as his right hand went to rub his sleep deprived eyes, his cursor hovering on top of the email. “New Client!” The email subject claimed, like it’s a good thing, like it’s an exciting thing. Patroclus clicked on the email and in another tab, opened up his schedule to see where his open times were. Patroclus skimmed past the hellos and reassurances, going down into the main part. It read the exact thing that Patroclus was dreading. Patroclus has a new client, someone who’s just been convicted of a double homicide, that has been sentenced to life in prison and court mandated therapy. Patroclus guesses that’s where he comes in and opens up all the files attached to the email.

Achilles is charge for the double murder of his boyfriend and a witness to the crime. As part of his sentencing, he has to go to therapy in the prison. Patroclus is his therapist and he quickly uncovers what’s truly is behind Achilles’ facade of indifference.
