Perseus was one of the select few gods who didn’t quite follow in the way of the gods. It wasn’t that he didn’t hold the inherent nature of gods within him; rather, he didn’t quite believe in it. He held a rare enjoyment for the bountiful emotions mortals felt, and believed that it was miles better than the urge to take. That, and also the fact that he was irreparably, irreversibly and wholly in love with Phoebus Apollon, son of Zeus, from the moment he saw him.

An unlikely bond forms, with Poseidon offering to train Telemachus in combat. Penelope overlooks their training. Meanwhile, Poseidon is determined to use his new influence to poison them against Odysseus while he is trapped with Calypso. However, as the years pass Poseidon senses that his calculated interest in the royal family has transformed into something wholly different. And those feelings might just change everything.

Odysseus drifted in and out of consciousness.
The pain from Poseidon’s constant punishments to his mind trying to adjust to a body that wasn’t his turning into a dull ache that sharpened with each beat of his heart.
He could hear the conversations in the palace, even through closed doors—the laughter of the Nereids and minor Gods, the splashing of waves, and the occasional scream of an unfortunate mortal being punished.
It all felt so… distant. Unreal, even.

The Great Prophecy never told of a child of the Big Three. Instead, it told of a child born from the gods' dreams, blessed of many. Seren Aelia is the titled Hero of Olympus, but her battle is not over yet.
First, her memory was wiped. Then she became an honorary Roman and is part of the Argo II crew, heading towards Greece to stop Gaea from awakening.
Now, she's falling into Tartarus. Alone.
The pit is hell on steroids, with acid air and danger lurking in all directions. Fear is constant, and misery and pain follow with every step.
Seren has plans to get to the Doors of Death and reunite with her friends, but it turns out that she's not alone down there, and sometimes... things aren't always black and white, and those who look foul are fairer than most.
Basically, a what if Percy had been thrown into Tartarus when he was younger story. Except I throw in an original character into the mix as well.

Greek Mythology is a intricate orchestra of epics and tragedies wrapped around a family tree filled with twisting vines and branches merging with each other. After years of trying to find a way to map out the largely accepted mythos. Of course, most stories are simplified and a few details I personally added to make a story that is entertaining, but classical Greek Mythology is an interpretation of an interpretation of a religion that explained the world of Bronze Age over the course of 1350 years to one of the first societies to be called a civilization with much of it lost to time.
