Summary
There is a yawning, cavernous emptiness that tends to swallow Yoongi’s emotions the second he starts feeling them. Sometimes it’s like a black hole, violently sucking them into its vacuous depths. Other times it’s like a heavy, quiet shadow, draping over him like a weighted blanket.
So when he opens the medicine cabinet, finds an empty pill bottle, and promptly feels panic surge in his chest, he expects it to dissipate after a moment. Expects it to be ripped away from the shaky grasp of his mind or sedated like a surgery patient, its intensity fading into a low, dim hum.
This doesn’t happen. He should have known from the coffee stain.

tl;dr: Yoongi is a submissive struggling with suppressant abuse. When his supply runs out earlier than planned, he's forced to leave the house sober for the first time in years. And though he'd be hard-pressed to admit it, this turns out to be the most fortunate thing to happen to him in a long time.
