Summary
Buck can't take the constant hate that he keeps getting at the station, Bobby doesn’t show him respect and still gives a cold shower. Eddie barely acknowledges Buck’s existence, the only time he looks at buck is to glare at him. Buck can’t stand knowing the man he’s been in love with for so long hates him. Despite Chim and Hen still being there for him, there’s only so much they can do and they can’t go against the captain. Thankfully, he makes an unlikely friend in Bosko who talks Buck into taking some time away. Though unbeknownst to Bosko, Buck has decided he can’t work at the 118 any longer. They travel down to South America, but when Lena’s time to leave comes she realises Buck isn’t coming with her. How will Maddie react when she finds out that her brother has been driven from the only place, he’s truly called home? How will the 118 react when they realise, they might have lost their youngest member for good?

Summary
Eddie was furious at Buck for wanting to help Abby, he didn’t feel that Abby deserved to even breathe the same air as Buck after what she’d done to him. But Eddie knew what Buck was like, it was one of the many reasons that he loved Buck. Eddie knew that Buck didn’t feel loved and wanted half of the time and seeing Abby come back with a fiance must have broken his heart. Eddie just wanted to be there for his best friend. And just maybe, he could show Buck just how loved he is.

“Buck—” Eddie breathed as he hurried over, “Hey, Buck—”
Buck lifted his eyes, they widened when he met Eddie’s gaze, “Eddie, I—” He tried to move, but was easily pulled back, “I’m sorry.”
Eddie rushed to reassure, “It’s okay, look…” He got onto one knee, sitting Christopher down, he looped his arms under his son’s, and turned him, so that he was facing Buck, “Look who it is.”
Christopher extended his hand, gently laying it across Buck’s cheek, “Buck.”
