Summary
The new probie is a mystery wrapped up in a contradiction wrapped in another mystery. Friendly and overbearing yet completely reserved. Trying to figure him out is like getting stuck in a revolving door that never slows down enough to let you get through the opening. And so far, he’s garnered them a net zero on profits two weeks in. She turns the book to a different page, now showing an old photo of our main characters, with the names; Eddie, Buck and Ravi. We zoom in to the photo of the three kids on the docks outside their small town. Two boys raising their swords and the last boy raising his guitar. “No retreat. No Surrender!” The three boys chanted, running back toward the town entrance; running through the city, straight to the church's cemetery.

In London, the air by late August already turned mildly cold, the kind of cold that crept beneath your Shirt and reminded you summer was only ever a visitor. He couldn’t say he missed it. He couldn’t say he missed anything at all.

After a tragic car accident, the Buckley family decided to move from London to El Paso, Texas, to get as far away from everything as possible. In the end, it was just Evan and his father who moved into the house, which was much too big for the two of them. Evan hated it. Or maybe not, he wasn't sure what he felt, if he felt anything at all. School was awful, except for one boy who sometimes made Evan's heart flutter a little and maybe even reminded him of feelings.
