The symptoms that FEMA publishes are unreliable. Very unreliable.
For example: the widow has red, bloodshot eyes like a Visitor. But it's because she's constantly crying and doesn't sleep! As Bar guy said, does being a gardener and having dirty hands mean you're a Visitor?
And as such, surely there's a perfectly rational explanation for your red eyes... and perfect white teeth... and the fact that you cannot for the life of you recall ever having a basement...

When night finally arrived, as he let the first person of the night in, he didn't know why, but there was something, something about that stranger that made his mouth water in a way that made him feel repulsed by himself.There was a hunger in his stomach, even though he had already eaten, that was impossible to ignore. He hoped those strange and confusing feelings would go away, but as he let more people in over the next few nights, he felt the same. And when he checked his teeth and eyes in the mirror, he couldn't have felt more horrified.
