PART 3 SPOILERS, DIVERGES FROM CANON AT CH 373
It had been three years since that day. Baek Saheon was doing great. In terms of his job, he had climbed the ranks faster than anyone else. Already a Section Chief with his own team. The proper higher ups were kissed up to, the proper subordinates were menaced. He prioritized his life and job over everything else. He was flourishing. So what if his long-term subordinate just died? People come and go so easily, it was best not to get attached, so of course he felt nothing about it. And the fact that it happened the day before that specific anniversary definitely did not make it hurt worse. Baek Saheon was fine.
So when a Doll in a familiar shape appears on his desk, delivered by someone he thought was long dead, what else was he supposed to do? NOT bring it into a Darkness with him and follow the instructions in order to summon himself a Good Friend?
It wasn't like he needed the companionship or anything...
But maybe this one wouldn't leave him.

She clears the way for him, and lo and behold, there’s something bright and colorful stuffed in his locker, which he’s never used before. Upon closer inspection…
It’s… the bouquet he made yesterday. At Baek Saheon’s request. And what was the message he wanted to send again? ‘I’m better than you, fuck off and die’?
“Oh, is this a secret admirer situation, Soleum?” Park Minseong asks, all too naive, and it takes everything in Soleum to hold back a sigh as he stares at the bouquet.
Kim Soleum's awful job has forced him to work the weekends as a florist in a shop across the street to make ends meet. Baek Saheon's awful roommate has forced him to come up with ways to take revenge on him without risking his life (not that he would actually kill him. Probably.)
A chance encounter allows Saheon to meet someone who doesn't piss him off for once, and allows Soleum to figure out why the hell he's preparing a hate-bouquet for himself to receive.

Summary
Baek Saheon has long accepted that luck simply isn't on his side. After surviving one disastrous event after another, getting chosen in an ordinary D-grade Darkness should've been nothing more than another daily life.
Instead, he walks away with the strangest reward imaginable. One that sounds more like a cryptic curse than a blessing, and one that slowly turns his already complicated relationship with his terrifying roommate into something neither of them knows how to deal with.
