    Bucky is marching towards Steve, breathing unstable. Before he realises, Bucky is shoving him in the chest with lungs full of fire. Steve stumbles back and does nothing else.

    “Steven Grant Rogers, don’t you leave me!” Fuck, Bucky’s voice definitely cracked, and he is one hair away from crying. His vision is blurring and why isn’t Steve saying anything?

    TLDR: Bucky realises that Steve isn't coming home. And he can't do anything about it.

    Or: I'm still pissed at endgame, 6 years later. Enough for me to have to hold a grudge about it. But I can't do anything about it either.
