Summary
Medkit hasn't gotten a mating cycle, ever. And he's happy about it! He couldn't stand the thought of someone else having to solve his own problems for him, especially if it had to be sexually related. He didn't need to be with anybody. He didn't want to be with anybody. It was pure and practiced, a carefully formulated routine of abstinence.
And if there were problems, systematic outliers of the equation–he would solve them. He *could* solve them, because everything was contained, controlled, and easy.
Or, Medkit is a late-blooming omega and has his first heat. Sword comforts him, but not in the way you'd expect.
