Summary
Karasu Tabito has spent four years working to get his undergraduate degree so that he can be accepted into his dream medical school. When the opportunity arises to join a program that the local hospital hosts that is known to greatly increase your application's chances of being accepted, he gladly takes it, even if the program's goal of pairing a student with a terminally ill and near-death patient is a pretty big bummer.
Otoya Eita is dying, at least that was what every medical doctor would have him believe, but he's not ready to give up without a good fight first.

Summary
Otoya heard Karasu’s footsteps approaching but still didn’t care enough to open his eyes. His eyelids felt too heavy.
“Idiot” Karasu murmured softly, chuckling.
Was he laughing at him? Before Otoya could say anything to defend himself, he felt a hand brush aside the hair covering his forehead and then a pair of lips pressed against it.
What the fuck?

Otoya’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with him. Sure, his heart races when Karasu smirks or puts his arm around him, and he might watch Karasu a little too much — but it’s just admiration, right? Totally normal. They’re just friends. Nothing more.

He stretched, softly whining as his joints popped and he finally relaxed. Karasu took too long in the bathroom; he always took a bath in the morning, which Otoya thought was silly.
“You’re supposed to take baths at night, not during the day, dummy.”
Karasu rolled his eyes and continued to get ready, ignoring the others comment. He took longer than usual, probably because of his unnecessary hair style.
“Shut it! You’re so loud first thing in the morning.”
