Summary
Gi-hun used to believe in forever. When he married In-ho, everything was perfect until it wasn’t. Gradually, the man he loved became cold, distant, and indifferent. Conversations turned into arguments, nights became filled with loneliness, and their love faded into something unrecognizable. After years, Gi-hun finally decides he’s had enough. He wants a divorce. In-ho never intended to lose player 456 out of his sight. Therefore, he starts a new game, not realizing he might end up losing to Seong Gi-hun, as he accidentally wakes up long forgotten feelings.
Or: during the last two years, In-ho manages to gain Gi-hun's friendship, sneaking into Gi-hun's heart with a sole purpose to keep the man from destroying the Squid game. Little does he know that in a game like that there can't be no winners.

One teasing reply turned into an ongoing conversation, and now some poor guy keeps texting In-ho for dating advice. At first, In-ho finds it amusing.
