daniel swallowed down the stab of panic rising in his chest.
“okay, so, we should talk.”
armand took a step closer to daniel, but didn’t sit down.
“i’ve got plans tonight, daniel.” armand sniffed, brushing the back of one slender hand against his raw nose, pink around the edges of his nostrils. he sounded faintly annoyed, liked daniel was a child, not understanding something simple.
daniel felt like he’d had this nightmare before.

“Armand?” Daniel was unable to keep the panic out of his voice, and felt a stab of irritation at how quickly being without his “medicine” left him feeling so unsteady.
“What’s wrong, love?” Came the reply from down the hall, rather than in his mind, like Armand was deliberately staying out.
Daniel remembers walking back into the living room, his eyes falling on Armand, sitting gracefully with one leg crossed over the other, a calm expression on his face as he read a book. Daniel felt the irritation rise at the expression Armand was so clearly performing, and he knew that Armand knew exactly what was wrong.
