“Did I act weird today?” Yamaguchi stares through him. He thinks that if there would have been any wind, he would fade away. Particle after particle, away from here and now.
“Maybe.” He can hear both of their breathing, and it sounds suspiciously a lot like music. Kei wants to do this, it feels important, significant. “Did I?”
“Maybe.” Yamaguchi smiles when he answers, but it’s different. It’s still lopsided, and still perfect, but it’s laced with something Kei doesn’t know the name of.
