Summary
Holding the loincloth in place to make sure nothing slips, Jake ducks around some trees before stumbling onto the woman waiting for him like she said she would be, leaning back against a tree trunk.
She straightens when she catches sight of him, her eyes moving up and down his body with a frown.
“Why are you holding it like that?” She asks. “You do not have to worry about it falling.”
Jake shifts back and forth on his feet.
“I couldn’t figure out how to get the ties done. They…go around my tail, right?” He turns to show her, trying not to think about the fact that she’s looking at his bare ass.
“Yes,” she says and when he looks over his shoulder at her, he’s surprised to find her looking almost sympathetic. “You cannot reach?”
Jake shakes his head.
She clicks her tongue, rolling her eyes in exasperation.
“Come.” She gestures for him to move closer. “I will tie them.”
Or: the way a small habit like tying loincloth strings can bind a couple, and a family, together.

Summary
“Are y’nervous?” Atsumu asked, with a smile. Why shouldn’t he be happy? He was going home, a place of rest and comfort. He was in his element, surrounded by people who liked him, or at least knew him. Kiyoomi? He was a fish out of water, a city boy in the suburbs.
Plus, there was the whole dark-shadow-not-personable-hate-strangers thing he had going on. It didn’t really invite too many friendly smiles and warm hugs.
“Omi?” Atsumu said, and now he looked nervous, as if he were the worried one.
Kiyoomi realized he hadn’t answered his question. He considered lying, but Atsumu always saw through him whenever he tried it. He decided to tell the truth. “A little.”
“Tell me what you’re worried about.”
“Meeting your parents.”
“Yeah, okay,” Atsumu laughed. “But what specifically d’ya think’s gonna happen, that’s gonna be bad? Like, d’ya think y’re gonna accidentally insult my Ma? Or punch my Dad? Or rip a huge fart n’fronta them r’somethin’?”
“How does your mind come up with this shit?” Kiyoomi sputtered. “Of course I’m not worried about punching your dad, why the hell—” he paused and considered the worst case scenario. “Did any of these actually happen before?”
