Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
“Do you want to go home?” He questions, leaning close and voice soft, and Will pauses, before nodding again. Mike lets out a breath, and lets his hand press against Will a little more firmly when he starts to sway in place again. “Okay, let’s go.”
Then he looks up and is met with smug faces, and Mike flushes when he realizes his own hypocrisy.
“I don’t talk like that,” Max recalls, voice high-pitched and overly girly and – Mike definitely doesn’t talk like that.
According to everyone in his life, Mike has a voice reserved just for Will. He tries to figure out what that says about him.

"What?" His mouth feels dry. His hands are sweating. He can feel a flush creeping up his neck.
Jane repeats her words between cackles and wheezes, "I said... I'm so hungry... I could eat... Will Byers!"
All of the kids are laughing now, some big inside joke that Mike is the butt of. He feels sick. He feels something he can't place.
"How do you know that name?" He asks, the words catching in his throat like bile.

“You guys have gotten really close.” Mike tells her, trying to make conversation but unable to really hold a steady tone. Instead it comes off condescending. “Will’s allowed to have more than one friend, you know?” Robin replies, and Mike cannot believe her right now. Seriously, she comes in here out of nowhere and thinks she knows Will better than Mike? “I never said he couldn’t.” Mike shoots back. “Plus, are you guys seriously just friends?” Mike says, his eyes narrowing. And again, Robin's eyebrows shoot up. “Very much so, just friends. Like, the emphasis on very is almost comical-” Robin laughs nervously and quickly shuts herself up. “But, why would it matter so much?” Robin continues, a different look in her eye. “It doesn’t matter.” Mike says. “I was just asking.” Any and all forms of tears that might’ve been on Mike’s face are gone now, because he's strictly just annoyed. “Look, I promise you we’re just friends. Sometimes… you just need someone to go to for other things. He’s still your best friend, Wheeler.”
