Adelle has watched over little kids in the past, starting in the foster homes that she’d grown up in, then babysitting over the summers during college, but rarely had she looked after such a young infant, barely six months old. Luckily, her roommate Gloria had connections - her guardian had known Dr. Lesley for a while through a mutual acquaintance, and when she'd heard he was looking for someone to watch his daughter full-time, Gloria had asked Sloan to put in a good word for Adelle. She was CPR-certified and everything. After a somewhat strenuous interview process, multiple submitted references, and a brief session to meet his daughter Emma so the baby could 'interview' her too, he'd eventually hired her, and she'd happily quit her dead-end retail job the same day.
