    Summary

The Calamity is gone. The remaining leaders of Hyrule gather for a Summit to determine the future of the kingdom, starting with how to repurpose all the Sheikah Technology. Zelda is among them, and while everyone still calls her Princess, she’s not sure she wants to lay claim to an old throne. What she really wants is to move on. She wants to continue her research, to prove her worth beyond her bloodline, and to spend as much time with Link as she can…which sounds an awful lot like what she wanted a hundred years ago…

(Or, a lot of change happens in between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Let’s fill in the gaps.)

    Summary

In-between scenes of never-ending battle she’d see him, guided by her voice, a man, a boy, trusting on instinct and reason alone as he stepped out into the light after a century of sleep, of restoration. She could not always watch him; Calamity Ganon was not a presence to be ignored. But in any quick moment of respite she’d muster the energy, cast her gaze over the expanse of Hyrule like the Goddess herself must’ve done all those centuries ago, and she’d see him. A candle in the darkness. A gentle, glowing light.

In the quiet sanctuary of Kakariko Village and after the defeat of Calamity Ganon, Zelda learns to piece herself back together.

    Summary

“Let’s say you’ve been asleep for a hundred years and when you wake up you’ve lost all your memories, but you defeat the big bad monster like you’ve been told to, because a girl told you to, and because you were in love with her. And after defeating the big bad monster she comes back, only she’s not the person she was a hundred years ago. And you’re not the person you were a hundred years ago. And yet every time you look at her, your chest hurts so bad you think you might be dying.”

He looks up from his breadstick. “Am I dying?”

“No,” Beedle says. “I think you’re stupid.”

    All roads lead to Hateno.

    Summary

Snap shots that are an exploration of another story I've written from a different point of view (Roots). Does require context to be fully understood!

Her hand grazes the area next to her. It’s an open invitation. If he stays where he is, she will leave him in peace from that point forth. But, if he comes forward, she will speak her mind.

    The choice is his.

Will he take it? It's always quite the coin toss.

There’s silence. Heavy, oppressive, unbearable silence. A second that lasts a year.

Then, grass shifts, he walks towards her, and Zelda starts to think that foolish boy has no desire to be left in peace.
