After The Affair at the Victory Ball, Poirot rather craved a holiday. I couldn't blame the man. As much as he enjoyed the smaller spotlight of a denouement, being on the radio, especially with the rather rude and xenophobic responses he'd seen after, had been wider attention than Poirot preferred.
