Summary
He just doesn’t understand.
He supposes it’s been a long time since he and the team really talked – what was it, 10, 11 months now? – and even though things had felt like they were getting better, it’s still kind of hard to suddenly say “oh, yeah, I’m married by the way?” and harder still to add “also, I’m a Dad?”
So it had kind of just lingered, time stretching further and further. But it wasn’t like he’d been hiding it either – that’s what he doesn’t understand.
He’s talked enough about Jay and the twins – wasn’t that why Eddie had blown up at him in the first place? – has filed the paperwork, even changed the name on his turnout.
Now he knows they just don’t look at him anymore, don’t listen, and… he gets it.
He does.
He knows he’s exhausting sometimes.Series

Summary
The picture on the back is a dark tree line contrasted by the wide blue sky above it. It’s faded, like it has taken one too many trips in the back of a mail truck, tattered and worn.
Eddie flips it over, the back scrawled with quick but somewhat neat handwriting. Scanning the words his eyes drop to the corner—the address.
‘Maddie Kendall, 1500 Hemlock Ave, Hershey, PA 17033’
Or,
An AU where Buck's postcards, which he sent to Maddie, were forwarded to Eddie on deployment by mistake. He becomes attached to the man behind the letters and his stories of his travels. Until, by a twist of fate, they bring him face to face with Buck himself. -

Summary
While the team had only found out about the Winchesters recently, they hadn't considered how integrated they already were in Buck and Eddies lives. But the way Eddie and Claire interacted proved this. They saw how Buck and Eddie had begun to see these people as family as much as they did the team and how the Winchesters, though more hesitant, clearly thought the same about them.

Summary
There’s a tag sticking out over the collar of the soft cotton, and it’s an easy distraction from Sam’s droning voice. Dean stares at it for a second before reaching over and tucking it back into its rightful spot, his fingertips brushing the back of Cas’s neck in the process.
“I have The Butterflies,” Cas interrupts Sam to announce loudly.
Dean startles back, and Sam stops talking, looks between the two of them in disbelief. Taylor continues to croon.
“I’m sorry- what?”
or the one where dean and sam finally retire, dean bakes, eileen mixes drinks, everyone has the butterflies, and folklore is the album of the year
