Buck’s sure Eddie’s cheating during game night. So he gives him a thorough “police search.”
Things escalate faster than a +4.
———"I still think you cheated at least once or twice" Buck said, light, teasing, picking a couple of things up off the floor.
Eddie didn't answer. Buck looked up. Eddie had stopped cleaning, the trash bag he was holding was now lying on the floor. He was leaning against Buck's table now. Arms crossed over his chest, biceps showing under his Henley. Looking at him. And he wasn't smiling anymore. The air in the room quickly changed.
"Do you still want to search me?" Eddie said. His voice was low. Calm. Nothing like the laughing, teasing tone from a couple of hours ago. Buck froze mid-step.
"Uh... Eddie?" Eddie pushed off the table. Walked toward him. Slowly. Deliberately. Each step eating up the space between them until Buck could smell his cologne.
"You said you'd get me next time" Eddie said. Voice still low. Eyes never leaving Buck's. "Here I am."
Buck's mouth went dry. He had to be imagining things, he couldn't be thinking... Eddie was definitely joking, right?.

Summary
While in Texas, Christopher had moved into his dad’s childhood bedroom and one night when he couldn’t sleep, he decided to go through the taped up old boxes he found in the closet. In there he finds something that makes him want to run away.
He found a journal.
His dad’s journal from when he was sixteen.
And from reading it, Christopher found out his dad was sent to a conversion camp when he was caught kissing a boy by his parents.

Summary
After Maddie's kidnapping, Chimney wants to remind her that life can still be fun. That she deserves romance, surprises, and everything nice. Aware that Maddie doesn’t like surprises, Chim asks Buck to help him test out an immersive couple’s experience before he takes his wife there.
There are only two problems:
1. Buck and Chimney are terrible at reading fine print.
2. The experience is not remotely what either of them thought they signed up for.Twelve hours later, after becoming closer than they’d ever thought they would, the two friends have learnt an important lesson: Always read the waiver.

Summary
Buck chooses to have a conversation with his parents when he's cleared from the hospital. He also chooses to have Bobby nearby as his chosen parental support. His parents somehow were let into the firehouse, there to have a conversation with him that he had purposely been avoiding while he worked through what had all happened, so if it was happening anyway, he was going to get what he could off his chest.
Even if that meant telling them he was cutting them out of his sister's life for her. He couldn't actually do that, and Maddie would only laugh at him for saying as much, but they knew how protective Maddie was over him and would probably see it as a legitimate threat.
