Or, Vecna is gone but Max is still in shambles. Eleven and the party help her adjust to her new reality, and somehow through all the darkness she begins to fall in love with her best friend, and El happens to be falling for her too.

As she looks out her window, up at the stars in the night sky, the birds who fly freely along the wind, or the green of the forest well below her home, she can’t help but wish she could experience it for herself. She wishes she could go outside and feel the grass under her feet, the wind blowing on her face, wishes she could swim in the nearby lake or touch the leaves with her fingers. More than anything, though, she wishes she could see the Lights up close.
