    “We were like 95% sure I think,” Bdubs said, thinking back to when they last discussed the rift before jumping through.

    He glanced back at Joel and suddenly all of the warmth had been sucked out of the room. Joel’s gaze had turned to the floor and he was biting his lip hard, as if to prevent it from quivering. Joel spoke just loud enough for Bdubs to hear, “So he knew that I’d probably be there…”

    He didn't finish his sentence but Bdubs didn't need him to, he already knew the second half.

    And he didn't come see me.
