Summary
He’s tall, in a pressed dark suit, and except for one crooked tooth visible when his lips part, the guy looks like he should be in a high-end magazine, not standing in a nondescript coffee shop at 7:40 AM.
“What can I get started for you?” Till asks routinely, despite his surprise at being observed so closely.
The other man seems to buffer. “Till?” he asks, sounding oddly breathless. Maybe he’s running late to work.
“Mhmm,” Till hums, trying not to let his impatience show. “What coffee would you like today?” he repeats.
“Do you know my name?” The man asks instead, and Till blinks up at him, unimpressed. He lets out a long-suffering sigh.
“You’re not wearing a name tag, so no,” Till finally replies, tapping his index finger at the nameplate on his own chest. “Look, we’re not supposed to rush customers, but it’s too early for this. Do you want to order something?” He spells out the question extra slowly this time. The black haired man looks down at the ground, almost dejected.
“It’s Ivan,” the man says in a soft voice, barely audible.
OR: Reincarnation AU. Till doesn't know why Ivan is so attached to him. Those nightmares couldn't have any relevance, right?

Summary
Till’s eyes are thin slits; his mouth opens just enough to show the corner of his canine: proof that he can bite. Ivan hopes he will.
“You’ll just slobber over whatever bone is thrown your way, won’t you?” Till spits out, giving Ivan’s hair another tug. “Wagging your tail for the best bidder.”
Ivan has a new favorite game. Till is an unwilling participant.

Summary
"You want to be my ashtray so badly?” he asks, voice low and almost mocking.
Wordlessly, Ivan nods with vigor.
Till hums. “Ivan, open your mouth.”
Ivan holds an unhealthy fascination for Till's smoking habit.

Summary
“Why are you following me?” Till demanded, breath puffing in the cold.
Ivan lifted his brows, not in guilt, but in that infuriatingly relaxed, oh? is this about me? sort of way.
“Following?” he repeated, voice smooth and calm, “I’m just heading the same way.”“In complete silence,” Till snapped. “For twenty minutes.”
Ivan made a thoughtful little hum, stepping forward until his coat brushed the edge of Till’s sleeve.
“You set a quick pace,” he murmured, “I figured you were in a mood.”“That’s because I’m trying to get AWAY FROM YOU.”
“You shouldn’t be,” he said gently. “Your scent… it spikes when you’re nervous.”
Till choked on pure outrage. “You cannot just SAY THINGS LIKE THAT—!”

Summary
Maybe, Till had thought as he tried not to shrink under that unsettling stare, he had imagined that profound sadness back then. It was hard to imagine, after all, how someone so clearly loved and liked could feel the abject misery he thought he sensed at the party all those months ago.
And maybe, Till thinks now, peeved and less inclined to be as forgiving with Ivan now that he had the misfortune of rooming with him for several months, Ivan is a kleptomaniac freak who legitimately hates him.
