“Sir Hans!” Henry said, raising his voice. “Sir!”
Hans stepped into the clearing, sticks crunching under his feet. He waved behind his back to get Henry to calm down.
“Hans!”
Hans stopped. He turned around to face Henry, with a stunned smile on his face. He coaxed his expression into a lightly amused mask and took a step forward. “Well… my friend—” he said, and there was a loud crack, like a tree branch breaking off or a sharp thunderclap, and Hans was gone.

Hans falls in a frozen pond during a hunting trip and Henry pulls him out. Soaking wet, freezing and lost in the forest they have to huddle up and hope to survive the night. Summary

Overjoyed, he misses a small but fateful detail: Hans Capon’s community post that very night, announcing he too will attend the festival... as one of its royal guests.

Summary
Henry is the newest line cook at The Den, a restaurant just outside the city center in Prague, and is, quite frankly, taking it one day at a time. However, when offered the opportunity to showcase his true passion, baking, that he'd inherited from his Ma, he decides to take the chance.
Unfortunately for Henry, life loves to throw a curveball. That same day he has a run-in with a particularly obnoxious group of rich jerks causing a ruckus in the dining room, and decides to share with them a little working-class wisdom. Little did he know, life actually had several curveballs teed up, and now he can't stop running into the leader of that merry band: some pompous blonde prick with a stupidly pretty face.
