    Gotham has the strangest creatures. Jason doesn’t consider himself one, but he lives where too many were born and bred. It’s hard to separate yourself from that bitter reality; sometimes, you can’t. It digs its blazing talons into you and refuses to let go. Jason doesn’t know where it’s taking him, but nothing screams good. In fact, he thinks he’s screaming.

    Or: Exploring Jason growing up in the gutters of Gotham (and then in the halls of Wayne Manor) through the lens of an old, discarded plotline Jason almost suffered in canon. (Real ones can predict what’ll happen).
