It was the ninth of the month, or eleventh, either way Hong Lu wasn't always too sure. He made a habit of forgetting the date on occasion. Regardless, he had visited Yi Sang all the same when given permission at the bed he was staying at. The workers there relayed to him that the latter was dealing with some problem that kept him unwell, so they provided a bed and sheets for him to rest in the meantime. His room had floral-like decor, which the former only assumed that it was to be welcoming him in open arms for when he made his recovery.
Making his steps inside, the man made his usual inquiries to himself before stepping towards the bed in which his partner laid on, with the sheets comfortably tying themselves around the other. Whoever did them must have been preparing for a funeral with how neatly the sheets were prepared. Of course, the way Hong Lu knew this was because he had seen an open casket once.

Summary
Hong Lu faces himself now and then, but rejects the interaction in the first place. For he perceives himself as non-existence itself. He sets the stage, and acts accordingly to his own design, to each successful stage play he enacts. For he is not even sure of himself due to this created self of his. The man wonders if Lin Daiyu herself would be ashamed of him, if the ones who he had held dear, and been held dear, ever truly cherished him in his selfishness. Furthermore, if the sinners who he had the opportunity of meeting would bear to interact with his mask aside. If he even knows how to take off his mask, or masks for a lack of a better term. So many layers, that in order to take off the first he applied, he would have to go through countless other lives he played a role in first, to even get the chance at his true self. Then, the question remains, if his true self would be a genuine person worthy of emotions, or simply another trick of deception.

Summary
Albeit not when the situation was necessary all the time, the man showed his moments of genuine trust and belief when it came to being emotionally vulnerable. At times, his heart itself became so vulnerable that he masked it with many facades. Facades that ended up damaging him even more, that he deluded into thinking was him, as well. Nonetheless, his facade would come to curse this very being, and his shame only grew greater as the days passed by him.
His sister, yet dismissive of those who came near her, was on the fence on her feelings towards him.
