Summary
As a young witch you are brought to the Malfoy Manor by your abusive Deatheater parents at the moment Lord Voldemort commandeered the Manor for his own use. As your parents plan to push you in the Deatheater’s circles, you find yourself under the protection of none other than a sixteen y/o Draco Malfoy.
Prepare for war, abuse, betrayal and threats, and you just may survive long enough to see a light of a post-war life in Malfoy Manor.All in all, the story sort of follows cannon, except in my version Voldemort and Deatheaters came to the Manor right after the Battle of Department of Mysteries and Lucius' imprisonment.
This is a Draco-centric prequel to my Lucius-centric fic ‘A night at the opera’
Lucius relationship tag will be only platonic in nature.

Book 1 of The Last Prince Series
"What exactly happened at the Ministry?" you say slowly, steadying your voice, as you look up at all of them. They all looked uncomfortable about the topic like they were scared that the information they held from you might affect your standing.
"I don't kn—" Harry starts but the question spilled out your mouth before he can keep anything else from you.
"How exactly did you keep the prophecy out of their hands, Harry?" you ask him, the shake in your voice more evident. Harry hesitates, looking down.
Ginny answers for him, "Malfoy dropped it."
"Was he there?" Your voice barely came out. Nervous looks amongst them were shared; they knew exactly who you were talking about. No one wanted to answer your question, even Fred looked down on the floor. A tear dropped from your eyes, not really wanting to hear the answer.
It was Ron who had the courage to answer you, "Y/n, they had masks on, we don—"
"Oh, don't feed me your rubbish, was my father there?"
"Yes."
