“Do you feel embarrassed? As embarrassed as you made me feel in front of all those people?” Lestat asks, and Louis pouts his full lips and just nods a little. “You’re awfully quiet, now, love. What’s wrong?”
Louis doesn’t say anything, just shimmies out of his pants and underwear with a frown on his face. He’s left in just his socks, and Lestat hums softly, patting his lap wordlessly.
Or, Lestat makes Louis apologize.

Lestat is momentarily quiet and Louis thinks he’s pondering the idea, picturing the baby Louis will grow inside his body. “Non,” Lestat says instead, clearly not considering anything. “Bonne nuit.”
