Miles Edgeworth had spent most of his life alone. Even in the company of others, he tended to distance himself. It's what von Karma had taught him. It was safe. He would not be distracted from his work.
This tactic, however, did not work when it came to Phoenix Wright. The man would not stop once he had his sights set on something. And these days, he had his sights set on the famous demon prosecutor.
Edgeworth is too stupid to realize this.

Frankly, I have found all of Ms. Recoleta’s works to be confusing, tasteless, and pretentious, and I am curious why you have found so much meaning in her work when the majority of critics say otherwise.

I will be the first to admit that Recoleta’s works are not always the easiest to understand. But I believe that there is a certain sense of accomplishment in unearthing every idea, every picture, and every drop of symbolism that runs through her stories’ veins. It is my personal belief that many critics do not give Recoleta’s portfolio more than a surface-level glance. I will not lie: if one truly desires to find meaning in her writing, a difficult task may rise ahead of them. But is it not in the nature of literature to present us pictures we must work to decipher ourselves?*
