Somehow, some people made movies where Erik loses his family twice (as if he hadn't enough reasons to lose it), where a very much alive Erik's son is introduced, and where these two things barely connect... Somehow!
Thankfully, the cure for this (and for these movies overall) exists, and it is this fic. One I read more times than any other and one I'll read again and again because I'm a fool who's sometimes tempted to watch those movies again (something something about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result). -

This great story is the perfect example of why I love original characters so much: they let us look at a beloved world from another angle, and what a great angle that fic was.
Also, this particular OC is fabulous.
Also, now that the Golden Cat's covered, I want a fic that great for every other corner of Dunwall. (And every corner of Karnaca.)
