Summary
Lan Zhan doesn’t think about him anymore.
The days when he would obsess over every tiny work Wei Ying appeared in are long gone. His days of buying every magazine he was in, of taping his interviews and watching them over and over again just to get a piece of the real him, they’re all over. Lan Zhan doesn’t follow every project Wei Ying is a part of anymore, doesn’t try to find out if Wei Ying ever mentioned him anywhere, and doesn’t keep the TV on just in case he hears Wei Ying’s voice in a new commercial.
He has weeks, and even months, when Wei Ying doesn’t even cross his mind at all. And when he does, it is only with a faded kind of fondness, a simmering affection to the memories they shared together.
He’s happy for the things Wei Ying achieved. There is almost no hurt at all, almost no pain. And almost must be just as good as none.

It's ridiculous that they had sex; how is this real? "Ah," Wei Wuxian says. Whatever words were going to follow are cut off by Lan Zhan stroking her face, thumb pausing warm and rough on her cheekbone. Her heart stops beating in her chest.
"I love you so much," Lan Zhan says in her devastating early morning growl, and Wei Wuxian's brain whites out entirely. Lan Zhan is leaning in to kiss her and Wei Wuxian is somehow stuck here, living through it, because her body is refusing to evaporate into its component molecules.

OR: drunk!Wei Ying climbs into his best friend's bed, teases best friend into kissing him, and gets more than he expected (a kiss and the inconvenience of trying to figure out his own feelings on the matter).

“2001,” Wei Wuxian says, and then cracks up when Jiang Cheng’s eyes widen in alarm. “Calm down, I’m just kidding. I know it’s 2014.”
Jiang Cheng stares at him.
Wei Wuxian is quiet for a beat. “I presume from your reaction that it is not actually 2014.”
“No,” Jiang Cheng says softly. “No, it’s not.”
