You only spare a glance at his stunned expression before humming to yourself, crossing your legs and giving the picture of nonchalance.
The loss of your attention seems to snap Rafayel back into the present, now evidently aware of how you seem to want things to go tonight. “No! No, no I’m not—I’m not impatient.” Rafayel hastily catches up to you, now standing in front of you and despite being on higher ground, his wide eyes and quivering lip suggests that he is very much not the one in control. “I’ll listen to you, I’ll listen so well.”
