"“So, definitely not a cool mom then, I get it.” Jinkx says to Dela’s back.
Dela freezes, stiffens, and subtly rolls back her shoulders, the energy between them taught with tension. Jinkx’s skin flushes with excitement. Dela turns. Her eyes burning. Her gaze pins Jinkx like gravity, holding her focus, and Jinkx hides a shaky breath as she steadies herself against the counter behind her.
“No, definitely not a cool Mom,” Dela says, her tone serious.
She steps toward Jinkx, who realizes she has been holding her breath.
Jinkx reminds herself to breathe normally as Dela advances toward her. Step by step, her heels click against the wooden floor.
Dela looks down at her, taking Jinkx’s chin with one hand, her grip firm, and her skin so soft. Jinkx stifles a moan, as Dela turns her face sideways and leans in, not quite breaking eye contact.
“And do you want to know why?” Dela asks.
Jinkx can feel Dela’s breath on her ear. She nods as much as she can with Dela gripping her face.
