Jyn wraps her arms around his neck, he wraps his arms around her waist, and it’s almost like dancing with the way they sway in place while still connected. Their grips are half bone on bone, their sharpest parts melding into an encapsulating warmth Cassian knows to call home.
It is not the end of the war, but it is a start.
After Endor, there is a new, more peaceful future in front of Jyn and Cassian. The only way to navigate the choices ahead of them (concerning their places in the New Republic, the state of their family, and everything else in between) is together.
